Because my mother has an endless collection of jewelry, when I saw this DIY, I didn't waste one second wondering if I should do it or not. I saw this DIY on Anne Or Shine's and URBANog's YouTube channels and decided I'd put my own spin on this STUPIDLY EASY project. You probably already have all the supplies for this project, so let's get started!
Supplies:
-plates, platters, and/or a bowl
-wine glass
-fillers (marbles, rocks, etc.; just make sure it's pretty☺)
-decoration (this is optional, but you could use paint or rhinestones like I did☺)
-glue gun and glue sticks (In the tutorials I watched, they specified high temp. guns, but I have a low temp. gun...everything worked out fine.)
-Rubbing Alcohol
*Tip - Gather all of your supplies before you start. This makes everything easily accessible rather than you having to run around to get your stuff as you go.
Directions:
Step 1- Clean your platters, bowl, and wine glass with some rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball.
Step 2- You can leave to platters and bowls as is or you can DECORATE them! If decide to bejewel it like I did, you'll want to start heating up your glue gun now.
*If needed, have your rhinestone sorter begin sorting out the rhinestone stones by your desired color scheme. ☺
Step 3- Apply the glue on the rim of platters is small increments as you add the rhinestones.
*On the platter where you will glue to bowl, don't glue any rhinestones around the center slot. This will make more secure. I learned the hard way…
Step 4- After you're done BEAUTYFYING you platters, add your filler to your wine glass. I used some red berries I found outside, but you can use anything you want. This is your centerpiece, so make sure it ties in the color scheme.
Step 5- Apply glue to the rim of the wine glass. Quickly, but carefully, take one of your platters, hold it upside down, and put it on top of the wine glass so the rim is inside the center slot; you know, where the dip would be! Turn it right side up so the wine glass is upside down, and press it down to make sure it's secure.
Step 6- Apply glue to the bottom of the wine glass, and again, quickly but carefully put the bottom of the second platter on the wine glass.
Step 7- Put glue on the bottom of your bowl, and put it on top of the center slot.
And there you go! BADA BOOM BADA BANG!!! You've got yourself a crafty little jewelry organizer! Go head; put your jewelry in it, and smile the whole time you do so, because you did THAT!! Be sure to stay tuned because this is just the first of three jewelry organizer DIYs I'll be posting!
